NewsDate: Nov 14, 2011 Bombers Season Done After 14-6 LossThe Truro Blue Bombers' season has come to an end as they lost their NSMFA Tier II semi-final game against the Fall River Dragons 14-6 at the TAAC Grounds in Truro on Sunday. Truro was able to move the ball on offense, but just couldn't finish their drives as the Fall River defense would bog them down once they crossed the 35. Dustin Pettigrew was able to score on a 10 yard scamper to keep the game close, but it proved not enough. The defense made only a few mistakes, but had several missed opportunities and tackles as Fall River was able to capitalize on them when it mattered. Congratulations to the Bombers on a good 2011 campaign. If that team gets a chance to mature into next season together, they will be tough to beat. Click here to go back to news articles |
